HHS Graduates as Published Authors

John Ebbecke was born in 1954 and graduated from Hicksville High School in 1972. In his retirement, he started writing. His first book, Tales from the Cage, is about growing up in Hicksville in the 60s to 1972. The first chapter can be found here on HixNews.com under Favorite Memories. His second book, My Past Time with the National Pastime, is now available on Amazon. It's all about a baseball life for a Hicksville baby boomer ...from wiffle ball and flipping cards to stories at the ballpark and adult softball on Long Island. John is now working on his third book,  which is about the 1970s.

Jim Wittenborg, Class of 1974, just released his fourth book in the Dream Traveler Series. You will recognize the names of Hicksville students and local landmarks in Tombstones.
