Remember when it was really cold in January of 2009? It was equally cold in Comox, British Columbia.
Comox is located in the beautiful Comox Valley of Vancouver Island
We are going to call this piece "Feeding the Eagles". One resident of Comox writes, "In January the weather was so cold that bald eagles were cruising over our houses looking for helpless cats to make a quick meal." Some kind souls decided to feed the eagles down at Goose Spit so they would survive the cold spell. Here's what happened.
Take note, this is Vancouver Island... NOT ALASKA! One of the residents took these photos in front of his home. They are incredible! What a sight to see...
