Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial - PROJECT UPDATE
Donations reached $6,200 in June, a $400 gain over May. While still far short of our needed goal of $25,000 to build and maintain the Memorial, the total donation amount doubled over May and our donor base increased by over 40% this month! The donor base now totals 51 people, couples and companies or organizations.
This becomes significant as it's a good start to seeing what will happen if everyone reading this note donates at least $10 to this worthy cause! Please remember, all donations are tax deductibile. An alphabetical list of current donors, along with details you will need to mail in your donation, can be viewed in this month's MEMORIAL UPDATE in the Honoring Our Veterans section of this issue of HixNews.
There were no new entries to the Confirmed or Unconfirmed Lists of Names in June, so our total of confirmed names remains at 1,896. We continue to need the help of all readers to fill in missing data on the Confirmed List and to help us qualify the names shown on the Unconfirmed List.

As we all celebrate the 4th of July weekend, let's remember that it not only represents our Nation's Independence, but the sacrifices many have made throughout our nation's history to maintain our Freedom and all this Great Country of Ours stands for. Have a Great 4th!
