To all our alumni...
Due to a lack of interest in HixNews Profiles, we've decided to change the heading in the taskbar to Alumni of the Month. We have chosen Tommy Sullivan from the class of 1963 as the first recipient for this honor. There are so many successful alumni who have gone above and beyond in their lives over the years that deserve to be honored in subsequent issues of the newsletter.
The editors ask that you not only make a recommendation, but please put together a sketch of the life of the person you believe should be highlighted. The profile for Tommy was done in a word perfect format. You can do it in a PDF format if that is your preference.
The editors have been asked by Tommy about any upcoming reunions for the class of 1963. We checked with Classmates and saw the following.
I think we should have a 50 year class reunion in 2013 and would like to know if anyone would be interested in attending. Would also like to hear your ideas on when, where and how much you would like this to happen. It might be fun to include the 1962 and 1964 classes to attend. We all knew people from both those classes. Please let me know what you think.

Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial - PROJECT UPDATE
Two names were added in April for a new total of 1,776; a very fitting yet coincidental number as we remember this month those who paid the ultimate price to defend this nation of ours that was founded nearly 236 years ago.
This past month we concluded that we have all but completed our search for new names. Our research now turns to filling in missing data for the names we already have. Our objective remains to not miss anyone who meets the qualifications and deserves to be included in the Memorial and you can still help make this happen.
