Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial - PROJECT UPDATE

Three names were added in May for a new total of 1,783.

The search for new names is nearly complete and our work continues to center on filling in missing data for the names we already have. As a HixNews reader, you can still be of significant help to this effort by clicking on the list of names near the bottom of this month's UPDATE that appears in the Honoring Our Veterans section of the newsletter. Please look the list over to see if we are still missing any Veterans you know of and also let us know if you have some of the data we are missing for names already on the list. During July we will send a letter to all of the local Hicksville Veterans Group Commanders with a similar appeal to their membership to not only complete the listings we already have, but to make certain we leave no one behind who deserves to be included in the Memorial.

As we celebrate our Nation's Independence on this 4th of July, let us all give thanks for all those who served to defend this Great Country of ours, but to those who continue to serve today.

On behalf of The Project Team, have a Great 4th of July!
