People Looking for People
We've taken a new approach to this section. It's been re-organized by Henry Lichtenstein as an online spreadsheet. Rather than publish the list here, it's now available below. If you have found the person you are looking for, please let the editors know so the name can be removed from the list. If there's someone you're looking for, just send your request and we'll be happy to add it to the list. If anyone knows these folks, send an email to:

HICKSVILLE VIETNAM WAR ERA MEMORIAL - PROJECT UPDATE
December was another super month with 3 new donors bringing in an additional $5,600! This total was spearheaded by the Hicksville Fire Department's contribution of $4,500.
HFD GOLF COMMITTEE DONATION
On behalf of the "Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial Project" I would like to Take this Opportunity to thank "The Golf Committee" of the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department for including the "Memorial Project" on the list of the many organizations that the "Golf Committee" has bestowed modest contributions over the years so that the chosen organizations for that year may meet its goals.
This year on December 3, 2017 at the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department"s Yearly Open house the members of the "Golf Committee" presented the "Memorial Project" team members a check in the amount of 4,500 dollars. "The Memorial Project Team" would like to thank the "Golf Committee", all the Golfers and Contributors who make this yearly event a great day of Golf and Generosity.

We now have a total of $34,388 in total contributions and can concentrate our efforts in 2018 to get the Memorial constructed for introduction to the public on November 11, 2018, Veteran's Day!
For those of you who have not yet made a contribution, you still have time to be part of the Memorial. Details on where to mail your donation check are shown in the complete Project Update, which appears in the Honoring Our Veterans section of this newsletter.
As always, should you have any new information to report for either the Confirmed or Unconfirmed Lists of Names, particularly to fill in missing data on the Confirmed List, please email me at
We hope this note finds you after an Enjoyable Holiday Season. On behalf of the Project Team, I'd like to wish each reader of HixNews Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity for 2018!
Sincerely,
Joe Carfora, HHS 1962
