Many readers have already seen the presentation I created called Hicksville Then & Now.
For those who haven't viewed it yet, it's a journey back in time that opens many memory banks. It's a little history that might be of specific interest to many of HixNews readers. For those who left the area years ago and have not returned, it's an eye opener. Many changes have been made across the years since we walked the hallowed halls of Hicksville High. There are notes that were received from alumni after they viewed the presentation that have been placed in this month's Memory Lane. There is a good deal of background history included in those notes. I encourage our alumni to send in additional pictures that might be of interest. I can make a part three and four if necessary.

This is a reminder to all that our cut off date for including your news into the next issue is the 20th of the month. Please make a mental note so your quality correspondence makes it into the next issue for all of us to enjoy. We hope everyone had a great holiday and pray the presents you received were on your want list.
The best present we at the newsletter could receive would be biographical sketches from many more alumni; pictures of Hicksville past and present; stories about school experiences; funny moments you can recall from your years at Hicksville High; the most unforgettable person in your class; the best teacher you ever had; a story about your siblings and/or your parents; the friends from high school that are still on your mailing list; a special story about an experience shared with your best friend; and anything else that will enhance the publication. The next cut off date is Friday, January 20th, 2012.
