Hixnews update May 7, 2009:

Dear HixNews readers, it is with the saddest of hearts that we have to inform you of the passing of our beloved fellow editor early this morning, Pat Driscoll.

You should all know that Pat spent the last few days of her life, working on the newsletter, until she was too exhausted to continue. She will be missed by all!

Come and join us for our 25th Anniversary Concert. One of the featured pieces will be Zoltan Kodaly's "Missa Brevis". This is a piece for organ and choir. Also featured will be the Missa Luba which is an African mass. Some great soloists have been lined up to join our ranks. I think this will be a wonderful night of music. If you're in, or planning to be in, the New York area on the 9th of May, why not come by? A good time will be had by all. And don't forget to say hello after the show. I'll be looking for you.
