Memories of Pearl Harbor

I was born 1 year after Pearl Harbor in Brooklyn though my family was living in Philadelphia . My mom wanted to be close to her mom when I was ready to join the world. The only memories I have are the pictures that portray the ferocity of the attack. When viewing the devastation, one marvels at the recovery we made and quite quickly. That was when Americans all pulled together and went to war at home working assembly lines that were pumping out war materials at an alarming rate.

Too bad that same camaraderie is not a part of our now daily lives.
