After graduating from HHS, Lenny attended the University of Maryland on a lacrosse scholarship. After graduation from Maryland , he attended the University of Baltimore Law School and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 1973.
He spent his first 5 years after law school as a prosecutor in Maryland . He continues to practice law as a criminal defense attorney.
During his free time after U of Md, he played 15 years in the US Club Lacrosse Association. He also started lacrosse in southern Maryland and is known as the "God Father of Lacrosse" in his native county, Calvert.
He currently serves as president of SMYLA, geographically, the largest youth lacrosse league in US. As a result of his many honors as a player, coach and youth administrator, in 2006, Lenny was inducted into the U.S. Lacrosse Potomac Chapter Hall of Fame.
He lives with his wife, Erna, in Calvert County , Md. He has two children and 4 grandchildren. He also still plays lacrosse on the Master's level.
