    Dear Readers,
We hope you enjoy our latest HixNews issue. Thankfully, we do not have any In Memoriams to report this month, nor have we received any emails,  so there is no Etcetera section. In case you try to access the Hicksville Public Library yearbooks site from our page, it is not working as of now. The library is aware. We plan to focus on memories of holidays in Hicksville next month and would love to hear from you! Article contributions, suggestions, and news are always welcome. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

I met my husband, Don Moore at a summer dance at the high school in August of 1960. We got engaged in September of 1963 and we just celebrated our 45TH anniversary on April 25, 2009.We still live in Hicksville as do many of our friends. Don is a Volunteer fireman with the Hicksville Fire Department.

Our family:

All of our three children graduated from HHS.

Our oldest daughter, Christine is married and has 14-year old twins, Jennifer and Patrick and an 11-year-old son, Brian. They live in Levittown.

Our daughter, Barbara Ann is married and has a 14-year-old daughter, Julia and 10-year-old twin girls, Nicole and Victoria. They live in Westbury.

Our son, Donald, is married for 7 years to Denise (Wagner) who lived at the end of our block. They live out east and have a son, Jake who will be 5 in March.

School:

My biggest crush was Don, my husband. I met him in between my 9th & 10th grades.

Mr. Clark and Mr. Alfieri were my best teachers.
