newHickLogoThank you to Kenneth Arnold, Class of 1965, for contacting us. Although the biography was hidden on the website, we thought our readers would like to read about The Dynamics, so we are featuring it here this month. We have a new article from Dr. Kumpikas and a new addition to Ron Wencer's Ancient Hixtory: an article about Leon Galloway! The Hicksville Gregory Museum is in financial distress. Thank you to Ryan Vicino for the article and information about how you can help.  We are happy our readers are using the Member Comments, and they appear at the end of this month's newsletter.  When you are logged into the site, scroll to the bottom of an article and leave us a comment! I graduated from Hicksville High in June of 1960. I worked for several months, and then in 1961, I enlisted in the army. After basic training, I was sent to Germany where I served with the 8th Infantry for 18 months. Upon discharge in 1963, I returned home to begin a new career.

I went to work for a firm specializing in the Metal Finishing Line (Powder Coating & Spray Painting). I got my feet wet and decided to open my own business. It was a huge move but well worth the investment.

The business name was and still is "Future Spray" and is located in Deer Park on Brooke Avenue . I say still is because the name was continued after I sold my interest in 2010. I'm enjoying my retirement thus far.

I married Janet in 1966. Janet was not a Hicksville girl. She grew up in Sachem and is a graduate of Sachem High School with the class of 1962. We live in Holtsville since our marriage. We have two children, Stacey and Joe Jr. We are, also, the proud grandparents of Allison and Joseph.

p.s. I forgot to mention the fact that after working a full day, I found the time to attend Suffolk Community College at night. Thanks G.I. Bill for the opportunity. After six years of work, I earned a degree in Business Management & Accounting.
