This category includes articles that have historical connections to Hicksville and remain relevant today. In addition, please make use of our Search feature. Ryan Vicino has an interesting article with a Grumman tag. A tag in our newsletter does not work outside of HixNews. However, if you use our Search box, you can find other articles in HixNews about Grumman or whatever else you are looking for. When you are logged into the site, scroll to the bottom of an article and leave us a comment!

I was married to John Christiansen back in 1970. John and I were married for 40 years until his untimely death in November of 2008.

I went fishing out of Freeport many years ago and that's where John and I met.

I went to Secretarial School and spent years working as a secretary.

We lived on McKinley Avenue behind East Street School before our dramatic move to Florida. We uprooted our daughter when she was in 7th grade and headed to Palm Coast. We've been here for about 17 years and I really enjoy living in Florida.

I pass time reading and Gardening. Most enjoyable is time spent with friends and family.

Looking back at my life. The one major change is that I would have gone to Veterinarian School.
