We think you will find his story fascinating and helpful! Last month, we asked those who served to email us. Our webmaster created a new section under Honoring our Vets, where you will see Our Veterans' Stories. Please continue to send us your information so we can add you to this section. I was married to John Christiansen back in 1970. John and I were married for 40 years until his untimely death in November of 2008.

I went fishing out of Freeport many years ago and that's where John and I met.

I went to Secretarial School and spent years working as a secretary.

We lived on McKinley Avenue behind East Street School before our dramatic move to Florida. We uprooted our daughter when she was in 7th grade and headed to Palm Coast. We've been here for about 17 years and I really enjoy living in Florida.

I pass time reading and Gardening. Most enjoyable is time spent with friends and family.

Looking back at my life. The one major change is that I would have gone to Veterinarian School.
