newHickLogoWe are reprinting Ron Wencer's article about Mary Keller, Part 2, which includes new information about a photograph on page 6, along with a fascinating footnote.  We are pleased to include another episode of Where Are They Now?, featuring Hal Blackman from the Class of 1977. We think you will find his story fascinating and helpful! Last month, we asked those who served to email us. Out of high school, I joined the navy and became a Seabee. I remained four years and then returned to civilian life. I decided not to attend college and began my new life working as a truck driver.

I married in 1969 and then gravitated toward heavy machinery and became licensed as an equipment operator. My marriage dissolved in divorce in 1991. I joined the Masonic Lodge.

I currently live in Lindenhurst on the water. My son, his wife and my grandson live with me. My current passions are motorcycles and drag boat racing. I ride motorcycle with the Chapter 15 Blue Knights.

During my spare time, I teach classes at the equipment operator's union school.

If I had it to do over, I would pursue a Pilot's License and take a trip by boat up the Hudson River.
