It's been sooo long - can't wait to see "y'all" again! This bio covers not just the last ten years but the whole nine yards!
I am a 1956 graduate of Hicksville High School in Hicksville, New York . I met Jack during my junior year at William and Mary. He was a LTJG (Lieutenant Junior Grade) stationed in Yorktown, Virginia . We were married in August of 1960 and settled in Haddon Heights, NJ . I taught second grade for a year and signed a new contract. However, when I informed my superintendent that I was pregnant that September, he replied with, "It would be in the best interest of the children if I found someone who would be with them the entire year". My, how times have changed! That's when I became a "stay-at-home" mom to three daughters and two sons for the next 19 years.
Jack's job in the battery industry resulted in moves to Seattle, back to New Jersey< (Marlton this time), on to Kentucky , and finally to NC in 1979 where I began teaching again. All of our five children graduated from North Carolina Universities - so we've become avid "Tar Heel" fans!
I retired in 2002 and am loving the life! We stay busy with church activities, bridge, gardening, and keeping up with 10 grandchildren ages 3 to 16. Our children now live in Colorado Springs, Chapel Hill, Washington (DC), Switzerland (yes, John is a Swiss banker), and Clemmons - so we travel often to visit. We spent two weeks at Christmas with John and his family in Zurich . Southerners just aren't used to so much snow and bitter cold!
I am really looking forward to the reunion and renewing old friendships.
