Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial UPDATE - 7/1/22

We successfully joined with the American Legion and the Hicksville Fire Department, to hold our Dedication Ceremony on Memorial Day this year; Monday, May 30, 2022.

Tommy Sullivan, a member of our committee, delivered our Memorial's Dedication late that morning, following Hicksville 's Memorial Day Parade.

A full account with captioned pictures has been delayed due to a short illness of a key committee member, bringing us too close to the July 4th Holiday to get this published.  However, the full account will be in the August 1 issue of HixNews.

In the meantime, Tommy's reflection on serving as our Dedication Ceremony Master of Ceremonies follows after this latest monthly report!   Click Here.

Fund Raising: With one new donor in June, The List of Current Donors now stands at 223!  Total receipts are now $41,503.  Expenses to complete the Memorial have totaled $35,592, leaving us a balance of $5,911 for future needs.  Additional donations will be used to cover future Memorial maintenance.

All donors (individuals, couples and groups) are listed alphabetically at the end of this update.

If you have yet to donate, or wish to make an additional donation, your generosity will be very much appreciated!  You can still become part of the Memorial by sparing as little as $10 for this worthy cause to recognize your fellow alumni who served our Great Country!

Remember, all donations are tax deductible.  Just follow the simple instructions below:

Donation checks should be made out to:

Memorial construction was completed in November, 2019. Given the shutdowns we faced during the Covid 19 Pandemic, final Memorial Dedication was delayed and finally delivered on Memorial Day this year; May 30, 2022!!

FINAL Confirmed List of Names:

Please click on the following link to review the Confirmed List of Names, organized alphabetically by graduating class year and shown as they  appear on the Memorial:

Please note that the list of those killed in action does not appear on the Confirmed List, because the names of those who paid the ultimate price during the Vietnam War, are honored with a separate plaque that contains additional details and is placed on the Memorial's Center Stone, just below the Memorial's Dedication Plaque.
