This repeat of last
month's Update, remains as the Project's current status, as with the
Coronavirus Pandemic, there were no changes during the past month.
Since one donation in January, there has been no new activity to
report since November, 2020. So,
the information from our November report, below, remains accurate. There remains no additional activity to
report, due to the Pandemic, it's surge in cases due to the colder
weather and the new virus variant, which is reportedly more contagious
than the original. Hence,
the rest of this report is essentially the same as in the November issue
of HixNews, but we are publishing it, in case you missed reading back
then . Fund
Raising: The List of Current Donors remains at 217.
Total receipts are now $40,853.
Expenses to complete the Memorial have totaled $35,592, leaving
us a balance of $5,261 for future needs.
Additional donations from this point forward will be used to
cover Dedication Ceremony expenses and future Memorial maintenance.
All donors (individuals, couples and
groups) are listed alphabetically at the end of this update. If you have yet to donate, or
wish to make an additional donation, your generosity will be very much
appreciated! You can still
become part of the Memorial by sparing as little as $10 for this worthy
cause to recognize your fellow alumni who served our Great Country! Remember, all donations are

in November, 2019.
The Dedication Ceremony was delayed at that
time for winter weather considerations and now the Pandemic. In
the meantime, alumni and other readers can
drop by to see the Memorial.
An announcement of the date and time of the Dedication Ceremony
will be made after we have a legal "all clear" on the Pandemic and
at least a month in advance of the ceremony.
The announcement will be posted in HixNews, as well as on the As Hicksville's Board of Education
keeps its attention on managing the school district under the Pandemic,
we do not expect to hear from Superintendant Litzman regarding possible
dedication dates, the need
for insurance, or a permit for the Dedication Ceremony, any time soon.
