Fund Raising:
We will reconcile our books for the October 1 report after Bill Walden
gets back home in mid-September, but for now there was one new donor in
August in the amount of $25. There
were also two other checks deposited in March totaling $125, but we
won't have the donor names until Bill gets home.
As of now, without the reconciliation against Bill's
spreadsheet, total receipts appear to be $39,558.
With the Memorial now complete, we have $3,966 remaining for
future needs. This does
not leave much for Dedication Ceremony expenses and future Memorial
maintenance. So, if you have yet to donate,
or wish to make an additional donation, now would be a great time! You
can still become part of the Memorial if you can spare as little as $10
for this worthy cause to recognize your fellow alumni who served our
Great Country. We will very much appreciate any amount you can spare. Remember, all donations are
tax deductible. Just follow
the simple instructions below. Your
generosity will be very much appreciated. Donation checks should be made out to: Hicksville And should be mailed to: Hicksville Except for the two missing March names,
as of the end of August, the total number of donors is now 213.
All donors (individuals, couples and groups) are listed
alphabetically at the end of this update. Memorial construction is now complete.
Construction was completed in mid-November,
2019 but the final Dedication Ceremony was delayed for winter weather
considerations and now the Pandemic. In
the meantime, alumni and other readers can
drop by to see the Memorial.
An announcement of the date and time of the Dedication Ceremony
will be made after we have a legal "all clear" on the Pandemic and
at least a month in advance of the ceremony.
The announcement will be posted in HixNews, as well as on the As

killed in action does not appear on the Confirmed List,
because the names of those who paid the ultimate price during the
Vietnam War, are honored with a separate plaque that contains additional
details and is placed on the Memorial's Center Stone, just below the
Memorial's Dedication Plaque. Alphabetical List of Current Donors A heart felt Thank You to all of our
