Fund Raising:
We added one new donor in June, 2018 with a donation of $200.
Current total donations are now $34,913, with a net total of
$34,038 in our bank account after past IRS filings.
The total number of donors is now at
195. All donors
(individuals, couples and groups) are listed alphabetically at the end
of this update. While we have surpassed our
funding goal, please know if you have yet to donate, you can still
become part of the Memorial as any additional funds will be used for
donations to Veteran's Charities and possibly scholarships for worthy
HHS students going on to college. So,
if you have not donated and can spare as little as $10 for this worthy
cause to recognize your fellow alumni who served our Great Country, we
will very much appreciate any amount you can spare. Remember, all donations are
tax deductible. Just follow
the simple instructions below. Your
generosity will be very much appreciated. Donation checks should be made out to: And should be mailed to: Hicksville We began accepting
donations in October, 2014, upon achieving tax-exempt status from the
IRS. $3,400 was raised in
the remaining 3 months of 2014, $6,200 in 2015, $8,300 in 2016 and
$16,488 in 2017. The new
total well surpasses our $25,000 goal and expectations!
We owe this result to all our donors who have helped achieve
it over the past 3+ years!! We are now putting all our efforts into
constructing the Memorial. Some
concern has been expressed about the weather in November (Veteran's
Day; 11/11/18), so the committee will discuss moving the Memorial
introduction to a warmer month, perhaps in conjunction with Memorial
Day, 2019. Six
more names were added to the Confirmed List of Names in June, bringing
our total list to 1,928 names! Also,
progress was again made this month on the missing data for a number of
names. We
can still use help from all our readers here!! As

us by reviewing both lists when you select the "click here" options
near the bottom of this update. To
save you time, just look for names from your class year and other years
you may be familiar with, as a reference and see if you have a new name
or some missing data on existing names to email to us.
Class years, where known, are specifically shown and missing data
is marked in red, to make it easy for you to see what's needed. The
Unconfirmed List was created to specifically insure that we don't
leave anyone behind from earlier class years (the 1940's and 50's)
who served during the Vietnam War Era and deserve recognition.

during the Vietnam Era (Vietnam Era dates are shown in the "Memorial
