Hicksville Vietnam War Era Memorial UPDATE Fund Raising:
Donations in May again topped the previous month, with $2,070
raised! This included a
special check from the Hicksville High School Alumni Foundation's
Fundraising event on April 15th, in addition to the cash and
checks donated at the event itself.
Total donations have now reached $15,642 against our needed goal
of $25,000 to construct, place and maintain the Memorial.
Donations are now at 63% of our goal, but we still need your help
to reach our final destination. The total number of donors has now
reached 147, with 14 new donors added this past month.
Once again, we continued to receive contributions from repeat
donors. Our $25,000 goal remains very
achievable, especially if every reader would spare as little as $10 for
this worthy cause. Donations have been received
from less than 10% of the HixNews readership,
so please help us as soon as you can!

Confirmed List of Names remains at a total of 1,905.
Some additions to data for the names were made this month.
There has been no change in the Unconfirmed List of Names
for some time now. We
continue to need help from all our readers here!! As

save you time, just look for names from your class year and other years
you may be familiar with, as a reference and see if you have a new name
or some missing data on existing names to email to us.
Class years, where known, are specifically shown and missing data
is marked in red, to make it easy for you to see what's needed. The
Unconfirmed List was created to specifically insure we don't leave
anyone behind from earlier class years (the 1940's and 50's) who
served during the Vietnam War Era and deserve recognition.
