Hurricane
Carol and Edna 1954 ... Carol, the first named Hurricane to impact the northeast
arrived Tuesday, August 31, 1954. 10 days later another hurricane, Edna, struck
on September 11th. Edna caused more localized damage including the Cape Cod
area.
