Looks like a "Thunderbird on the left in the above photo.

(Yes, a '55 T-bird. To the right is a Ford station wagon and in the background is an MG-A)

What make and model is shown above???

(The car on the left is an Oldsmobile around 1955. The car on the right is a Ford a couple years older)

This has to be one of the first self serve stations in the country.
Gilmore started out in Los Angeles

Another Gilmore station!!!

Sohio originally was based in Ohio ...then was bought out by British Petroleum (BP)

Holy Mackerel...gas at 26.9!!! Reminds me of Lowry's Sunoco Station on the corner of
Princess Street
in Hicksville

Gas, Native Pottery, Snacks...must be somewhere in the Southwest

The background for this Cucamonga service station is breathtaking.
The really old cars suggest it was taken many years ago.

Here's another photo of Rancho Cucamonga , California

The Casa De Petrol was on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, California . James Dean
filled the tank of his brand new Porsche Spyder at this station the day he died.

Pure oil...is that used for cooking??? Neat looking roadster.

This picture reminds me of the station still open and on the corner of Jerusalem Avenue and
West Marie Street in Hicksville

Bricks Station on Sixth Avenue in New York City ...May of 1948

Corn alcohol...wasn't that the drink of choice during prohibition???
(We call it Ethanol)

A policeman with a wrecked auto used to transport illegal moonshine in 1922.

Refreshments...wonder when stations first started offering gedunks???

Think the sign in the background says Hofbrau Garden across the street from this
Full service station in California back in 1938.  (Car looks like a Packard)

Nice looking '57 Chevy and an Oldsmobile closer to the building

Good Year Tires & "TUBES"  Yes, Tires used to have inner tubes.

Looks like a hearse hauling an old Airstream!!!

(Pontiac station wagon pulling one of Airstream's competitors.)

Neat Parking lot...

Is that a Jaguar???

(No, it's an American car, looks like it could be a '34 Studebaker)

What the heck is that white car???  (1949 Ford coupe)

Hey...this station has United States Tires...we were importing back then I guess.

Dr Pepper...7-Up circa 1937
