Now the hard one. Tell us what we need to know…50 years in the space below:

After graduation and my military service, I became a professional musician, a drummer. My only claim to fame was performing with the first bass player from “The Hassels”  that was Billy Joel’s first musical band. I worked the south most notable task was on an offshore drilling platform near Odessa , Texas . Wanted to pursue a career in music so headed to California . Was fortunate in getting studio music gigs almost immediately. People call me Drummer Doug. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of performing with James Brown, Chuka Khan, Terry Collins and was involved in a project of working on new songs for Maroon 5. I was involved in the 1976 Bicentennial ceremony at the Statue of Liberty .  Also had the honor of becoming friends with Betty White, David Lee Roth, Gene Simmons, Peter Tork and Gary Busey.

Finally, if you had to do it all over again, I would…
